Record investments in the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway. Shareholders to receive dividends

Press Releases 14 March 2025

The safety of travellers is a priority for the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group. In 2024, the organisation's capital expenditure amounted to PLN 239.4 million, and by the end of the concession period, over PLN 400 million will be allocated for this purpose, according to the company's report for 2024. The value of contracts concluded in 2023-2024 for modernisation works amounted to approximately PLN 540 million. The works will focus on resurfacing and investment works. The company has also determined the amount of the dividend.

Maintaining the high technical standard of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway and the safety of its users remain a constant priority for the Stalexport Autostrady S.A. Capital Group. The Group is consistently carrying out the final stage of modernisation works before the concession expires in March 2027. Given the high traffic volume and its potential growth, the Company is ready to cooperate with the public sector in the design and expansion of this route with a third lane.

We are investing record amounts in the modernisation of the Katowice-Kraków section of the A4 motorway, aware of its strategic importance for the country's security, including its role as a military corridor for Europe. We are ensuring that this road meets high technical standards. We are ready to continue cooperating with the public sector, especially considering that security, including transport security, is key from the perspective of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, says Andrzej Kaczmarek, President of Stalexport Autostrady S.A.

The public sector, as part of cooperation under a public-private partnership, regularly participates in the profits from the project. In 2024 alone, payments to the State Treasury amounted to PLN 126.5 million. In total, since 2018, the amount of these payments has exceeded PLN 503 million net. This represents an additional, significant contribution to the state budget, regardless of the VAT and CIT taxes paid by the Capital Group companies, which amounted to nearly PLN 85 million in 2024.

Dividend

In 2024, the average traffic intensity on the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway reached 48,285 vehicles. During this period, the Capital Group generated revenues of approximately PLN 578.9 million, which represents an increase of nearly 14 per cent compared to the previous year, while net profit reached approximately PLN 139.7 million, which was over 20 per cent higher than in the previous year. EBITDA increased by nearly 29 per cent, reaching approximately PLN 272.6 million.

The Company's net profit in 2024 increased by 41 per cent to approximately PLN 157.3 million, which is the result of effective financial management. Since 2016, Stalexport Autostrady S.A. has been a stable dividend-paying company, regularly rewarding the trust of its shareholders with payments. The Company's Management Board has submitted a motion to the Supervisory Board to allocate PLN 155.8 million for the payment of dividends, i.e. 63 groszy per share. The Supervisory Board has given a positive opinion on this motion.

When mentioning the most important aspects of the Capital Group's operations, I would not like to omit our involvement in the ESG area. As an integral part of the international Mundys Group, we are guided by the highest standards of sustainable development, implementing numerous pro-environmental and social initiatives. For the third year in a row, we have been using 100% renewable energy, reducing CO2 emissions, investing in electromobility and supporting local communities, says the President of Stalexport Autostrady S.A.

Last year, the Group implemented a number of cybersecurity projects, including monitoring IT systems and responding immediately to potential incidents. The organisation is also analysing scenarios for its development after 2027.

“With the end of the concession approaching, we are actively analysing the directions for the further development of Stalexport Autostrady S.A. Drawing on nearly 30 years of experience in implementing one of the largest concession projects in Poland and the support of the Mundys Group, we are ready to take on new challenges in the infrastructure sector. We are counting on openness from the public sector in this regard,” announces Andrzej Kaczmarek, President of Stalexport Autostrady S.A.
