The company, listed on the Stock Exchange, is beginning the process of reorganising the structure of its Capital Group. The company plans to expand into new areas of activity. On Thursday (22 January 2026), Stalexport Autostrady S.A. published a draft strategy entitled ‘The road to new INVESTMENTS!’ - a document setting out the company's development directions for the coming years.
The decision not to include the continuation of the operations of our subsidiaries responsible for the functioning of the A4 Katowice-Kraków motorway in our financial statements was made as part of our strategic activities and is the result of a comprehensive analysis of the operational efficiency and development prospects of individual entities. Our goal is to further strengthen the company's financial stability and focus on key, promising areas of development, which are presented in the Strategy for 2026-2030 published today, says Andrzej Kaczmarek, President of the Management Board of Stalexport Autostrady S.A.
The subsidiaries VIA4 and Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska are entities dedicated to the implementation of activities related to the concession agreement for the construction of the A4 motorway between Katowice and Kraków, adapting it to the requirements of a toll motorway, and the operation of this section. This contract expires on 15 March 2027. After this date, the motorway will return to the management of the State Treasury, represented by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways.
Our decision not to continue the activities of the companies established for the purpose of implementing the concession does not affect Stalexport Autostrady's ability to develop its activities in new, diversified areas, nor does it affect the implementation of the strategic operational and financial objectives set out in the Strategy. The processes related to the reorganisation of the Capital Group's structure are carried out in a controlled manner and in accordance with applicable law," adds Andrzej Kaczmarek.
The entity listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange emphasises that it is in a very good financial, earnings and liquidity position, and therefore there are no restrictions on its ability to continue operations after the expiry of the concession agreement for the A4 Katowice-Kraków route.
The road to new INVESTMENST!
In its proposed Strategy, Stalexport Autostrady assumes diversification of its activities based on three complementary pillars:
1) Firstly, projects ready for implementation – investments in residential or multifunctional real estate – we will focus on a new area that will ensure the financial stability of our organisation. The first facility will be built in the centre of Katowice, based on the real estate we already own;
2) Secondly, projects in the spotlight – management of transport infrastructure, i.e. mobility infrastructure, including new roads, car parks and airports, as we have unique experience in the construction, management, maintenance and modernisation of infrastructure – we want to operate wherever possible – because we can deliver the greatest value to our customers and build a lasting competitive advantage;
3) Thirdly, complementary projects – free flow (gate-free toll collection systems) and a mobile application. We are launching new activities in the area of technology, as this directly enhances the quality of our solutions and the long-term stability of the company.
We have a clear vision – we want to be an investor with a long-term perspective. We want to manage a diversified portfolio of investments in broadly understood transport infrastructure and construction. As we have previously reported in our activity reports, we have analysed a number of strategic directions, also cooperating with renowned advisors and drawing on the knowledge and experience of our Supervisory Board, adds Andrzej Kaczmarek, President of the Management Board of Stalexport Autostrady S.A.
The company has launched a dedicated website devoted entirely to the new Strategy, available at https://www.stalexport-autostrady.com.pl/strategia-2026/
