Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group has closed H1 2020 with lower sales revenue and a slightly lower net profit, compared to previous year. The financial performance results from restrictions introduced by state institutions and authorities in connection with the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
In the first quarter of this year, the Capital Group experienced a drop in traffic intensity on the A4 motorway Katowice-Kraków, which results in lower sales revenues, which, however, is accompanied by a higher net profit relative to the previous year.
For the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group, 2019 was marked by an increase in sales revenue and a decrease in net profit related to payments to the State Treasury. The most important events of the previous year include: payment of dividends to the shareholders of Stalexport Autostrady S.A., total prepayment by Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska of the remaining debt under a long-term loan agreement to finance the A4 Katowice-Kraków project.
This Wednesday, 1 January 2020, the preferential toll rates for A4 Katowice-Kraków for drivers using automatic payment methods will come into force. Autopay, A4Go and Telepass users will save from 3 to 5 zlotys on each toll gate, depending on the vehicle category. The toll rate for passenger cars will go down by 30 percent.

In H1 2019, the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group increased its sales revenue. On the other hand, due to higher costs of sale and higher operating costs, there was a decrease in net profit.
In the first quarter of 2019 the Stalexport Autostrady Group maintained the upwards trend in terms of sales revenue. Due to payments to the State Treasury, in accordance with the Concession Agreement, consolidated net profit decreased.
The year 2018 ended with an increase in both revenue from sales and net profit for the Stalexport Autostrady Capital Group. Major events of the last year included the payment of dividend to the shareholders of Stalexport Autostrady S.A., the repayment by Stalexport Autostrada Małopolska of concession payments to the National Road Fund, and the continuation of the programme consisting in the modernisation and development of the A4
